Avoiding environmental degradation is an objective around which the activity of Productos Colcar revolves. One of our main objectives is to launch a line of biodegradable and compostable hot melt adhesives. We have one hot melt adhesive that can be recycled together with the product on which it is applied.
Research for Colcar Products is crucial. Our laboratory does not rest until we find the right product to offer our customers.
In collaboration with a leading company in the sector, we are currently researching the development of biodegradable and compostable hot melt adhesives.
That is our next challenge! These sustainable adhesives are gradually gaining prominence in the market among manufacturers and consumers who, like us, prioritise care for our environment above all else, seeking to produce and, at the same time, buy products that are more respectful of the environment.
We currently have one new sustainable hot melt adhesive called NATURE 88. 100% recyclable and very resistant. Adhesive developed for bedding industry.
Assessing the impact of hot melt adhesives on the sustainability model of this industry is very difficult. Because despite what it may seem, hot melt adhesives are present in an infinite number of sectors and products.
What we know is that “a biodegradable glue could prevent environmental degradation”.
We recycle our adhesives to produce new ones, provided they are similar in formulation, and in small quantities to avoid compatibility problems.
We manage to recycle 99% of these adhesives and/or their manufacturing waste.
